You are cordially invited to join us for this year's Silver Pen Writing Contest themed "This I Believe."  
Take part in the 2nd annual Silver Pen Writing Contest by writing and submitting your own brief (350 - 500 words) statement of personal belief - those personal philosophies and core values that guide your daily life.
For inspiration with this theme, visit http://www.thisibelieve.org or checkout the book This I Believe: The Personal Philosophies of Remarkable Men and Women (ISBN 9780805080872, Call No. 170.44 Thi) from any Salt Lake County library location.
Selected works will be highlighted and presented at a reception sponsored by Salt Lake
County Aging Services and Salt Lake County Libraries on September 25, 2008 at the
Columbus Community Center in South Salt Lake.
1st, 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention prizes will be awarded and winning entries will appear on Salt Lake County Aging Services and the Salt Lake
County Library Web sites.
Guidelines
- Work must be original, unpublished, and produced between April 1st and July 31st, 2008
- Winners will be announced and notified during the first week of September 2008
