Providing options and opportunities for older adults
Click on the links in the map below for more information on the Center nearest you.
Adults over 60 who are looking for an exciting place to explore new options and opportunities will find many answers at a local Senior Center. A Center is a place for people to gather with other active, mature adults and explore educational offerings, fitness, and undiscovered talents in the arts, crafts and other hobbies.
Meaningful leadership and volunteer avenues can be opened up as well as opportunities to become more involved in one's community. Help with questions that arise in this stage of life are also available. There are eighteen Senior Centers (see map for locations) in the county; most are open Monday through Friday. Some offer evening programs. All have transportation available if necessary.
A nutritious noon day meal is served for a small suggested donation. Once a week, an alternative salad meal is also available. Reservations at least 24 hours in advance are required for lunch.
Finally, a monthly newsletter is published by each Center that will help keep you up to date about various classes, programs and activities that are available.
